Constellation was commissioned for this Gensler designed building in Washington D.C. Stockman wanted to complement the architect’s vision with a play of metallic powder coats on mesh and introduce some fluidity into the straight lines of the lobby. In a work of contrasts, Stockman uses metal in a novel form -moulding mesh and playing with shadow to create an illusion of movement and weightlessness.
