drawing lessons - BLURRING THE LINES
Sketching as always been the starting point for any work that Stockman creates. In a series of classes, Stockman introduces the beginning stages of his creative process to guests. Under the instruction of the artist, students created simple nude drawings of a live model and tried their hand at recreating the human form.
Sculpting Lessons
Edward Stockman led an insightful discussion on how the history of Art and notable artists such as Degas, Michelangelo, and Giacometti inform his current sculptural process. After the lecture, under the instruction of the artist, students worked with various sculptural medium to gain a deeper understanding of the methods that Stockman employs in his craft.
